Menopause Care
Dr Åhlund is passionate about women’s health and in particular the management of menopause. She will be able to advise you not only on how to best manage your changing hormones but also take into account any other medical problems or future health concerns that you may have.
She attends regular multidisciplinary meetings with fellow menopause specialists who practice at the Healthshare Clinic in Norwich. This will help assure you that you will always receive the most up to date advice and care during your menopausal journey.
Education and Experience
Dr Åhlund has been undertaking training through the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG) and the British Menopause Society (BMS) as well as a specialist-mentoring program with a local Menopause Specialist through the Primary Care Women’s Health Forum (PCWHF). She is a member of the British Menopause Society and PCWHF.
Lifestyle and Interests
Dr Åhlund lives with her two daughters and husband on a smallholding just outside of Norwich. She enjoys travelling especially to see her wider family in Sweden, yoga, Pilates, wild swimming and good healthy food. She is looking forward to completing a qualification in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) for the management of menopause later this year.
*Dr Ahlund does not currently fit progesterone-releasing intra-uterine system coils or perform endometrial biopsies; should these be needed we can easily cross-refer to Norfolk Menopause gynaecologists Tim Duncan or Paul Simpson
